Refrigerator Not Cooling Properly
- Temperature set too warm: Set the refrigerator compartment near 37°F / 3°C and the freezer near 0°F / -18°C for normal operation.
- Air vents blocked: Move food away from vents so cold air can circulate between the refrigerator and freezer sections.
- Condenser coils dirty: Clean dust and pet hair from the condenser area using a vacuum or coil brush.
- Door gasket leaking: Inspect the gasket for dirt, cracks, wrinkles, or gaps. Clean with mild soap and warm water.
- New installation or large food load: Allow several hours for the refrigerator to stabilize after installation, power loss, or loading warm food.
Ice Maker Problems
- No ice production: Make sure the ice maker is turned on, the freezer is cold enough, and the water supply valve is fully open.
- Small or hollow ice cubes: Replace the water filter, check water pressure, and inspect the water line for kinks.
- Ice maker stopped after filter change: Flush the water system and confirm the filter is fully locked into position.
- Ice clumping in bin: Empty old ice, check freezer temperature, and make sure the ice bin is installed correctly.
Water Dispenser & Filter Issues
- No water dispensing: Check that Control Lock is off, the door is fully closed, and the water line is connected.
- Slow water flow: Replace the water filter and flush several gallons through the dispenser after installation.
- Leaking dispenser: Air may be trapped in the line after filter replacement. Flush the system until flow becomes steady.
- Filter light still on: Reset the filter status using the button sequence listed in the model-specific manual.
Control Panel & Display Alerts
- Control Lock active: Hold the lock button or follow the manual's unlock sequence to restore dispenser and panel functions.
- Cooling Off / Demo mode: If lights work but the refrigerator does not cool, exit showroom mode using the correct control combination.
- Temperature alarm: The compartment may be too warm after a door left open, power outage, or heavy food loading.
- Power outage alert: Confirm food temperature, then reset the alert from the control panel.
Noise, Vibration & Door Issues
- Buzzing or humming: Normal compressor, fan, or water valve operation during cooling and ice maker cycles.
- Clicking sounds: May occur when the compressor, defrost control, or ice maker starts and stops.
- Rattling: Make sure the refrigerator is level and not touching the wall, cabinets, or loose items.
- Doors not closing: Check for food packages blocking shelves or bins, and adjust the front leveling feet if needed.
- Frost buildup: Inspect the door gasket, reduce frequent door opening, and make sure the freezer door closes completely.
Installation & Maintenance Tips
- Proper clearance: Leave enough space around the refrigerator for ventilation according to the installation manual.
- Level the cabinet: Adjust leveling legs so the doors close naturally and the refrigerator remains stable.
- Water line connection: Check for leaks after installation and after every filter replacement.
- Interior cleaning: Use mild soap and warm water. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may damage plastic bins or door liners.
Safety note: Always unplug the refrigerator or disconnect power before cleaning condenser coils, replacing parts, checking wiring, or servicing internal components. Do not modify sealed refrigeration systems.
